We love our yearly check-ins with clients. They give us a chance to catch up and make sure your coverage still fits your life. The best reviews start at home, with a few minutes of thinking ahead. Grab a notepad and work through these questions before we meet.

Health

  • Did you see any new doctors or specialists this year?

  • Is a procedure or surgery coming up in the next year?

  • Were there any trips to urgent care or the hospital?

  • Did your doctor add or change any prescriptions?

Doctors and pharmacy

  • Are you happy with the doctors you are seeing now?

  • Has a favorite doctor retired, moved or changed offices?

  • Would you like to switch pharmacies, or try mail-order?

Costs and budget

  • Were any bills higher than you expected?

  • Did you pay more for a medication at some point in the year?

  • Is your monthly budget for insurance the same as last year?

Household and plans

  • Has anyone joined or left your household?

  • Are you planning to retire, change jobs or start a business?

  • Will you spend part of next year in another state or traveling?

  • Did you move, or are you thinking about moving?

Peace of mind

  • Is there anything about your coverage that has been nagging at you?

  • Do you have questions you meant to ask last year and never did?

Bring your notes and your folder

Your answers do not need to be polished. A few scribbles in the margin are perfect. Bring them along with your insurance cards, your list of medications and any letters from your plan. If nothing has changed, wonderful. A quick review confirms you are still in good shape. If something has changed, we will talk through what it means for you.
